Who we are: We are a direct-to-consumer family farm and CSA. Our weekly summer farmstand and seasonal CSA offers local, organic produce, organic eggs and all natural, free-range meats. Our passion is to help educate people about sustainable, all natural farming. With our buying club we take the leg work out of searching for different products and bring them together in one spot.
Our farm uses biodynamic agricultural processes which allow for pasture raised animals who are out in our luscious fields eating fresh green grass to their hearts content, which is a far cry from the poor animals that are sold in the supermarket. Even the so-called “free Range” chicken just means there is a door somewhere that if the chicken can climb over the 1,000 chickens in front of it and get out, it can see the sun. Ours live a wonderful life and they taste it too! One of our best customers described it tasting like “a chicken that ate a chicken that was marinated in chicken broth, and then cooked in a roasting pan made of chicken. The flavor is out of this world." When you open a bag of our chicken, I invite you to take a whiff. The smell is delightful, fresh and yummy. Open up a store bought chicken. Take a whiff. Foul smelling. (not fowl, ha, ha). We have become used to that awful odor and consider it the smell of chicken. I assure you, it is not. The hamburger is unbelievable! Once you taste it, you will hooked. So robust and flavorful. The steaks are a different taste and does take some getting used to but once you learn how to cook them, they are truly gourmet. If you have any questions about our produce or meats, we would love to answer any questions and educate you about our sustainable farming practices. Every meal you prepare, you will know you are supporting local agriculture, sustainable farming practices and a wonderful life for an animal.
Our vegetables and fruits are all grown organically and naturally with no pesticides, insecticides or chemical fertilizer. We will be growing vegetables in our tunnels throughout the fall and into the winter. If you have never tasted a beet or carrot that is grown in the winter, you will be in for a surprise! So sweet, like candy. We also will have olive oil processed locally, wild vegetables and fruits, fresh homemade pies, wool products from our sheep, lamb by the half or whole and maple syrup.
Our community is important to us. Our expanding buying club is an aspect of our business because we all should seek food closer to home. We continue to find other like minded farmers to add to our buying club products to support one another and make a difference in our future. We invite you to browse through our store and shop with confidence.
