What is CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between farmers and consumers where members purchase a share of the farm's harvest in advance. This direct relationship supports local agriculture and provides members with the freshest possible food.

As a member of Gray Family Farm's CSA, you'll receive a weekly share throughout the 13-week summer season packed with pasture-raised meats, seasonal vegetables, farm-fresh eggs, and rotating special items.

Fresh Seafood Add-On

Each week during the CSA season, Shelley sources fresh seafood from a local fishmonger based on what's currently available. All fish is US-caught from the Northern Atlantic — no farmed fish. Shrimp is sourced exclusively from US waters.

Seafood is priced between $20–$25 per week. Members are notified of that week's selection and can opt in by texting or emailing by Tuesday at 12:00pm.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do CSA sign-ups open? +
We start accepting CSA members in March each year. The season typically starts in June, depending on weather. Check our website or contact us to get on the mailing list.
Can I skip weeks if I'm on vacation? +
Yes! If you need to skip a week (for vacation, etc.), those weeks get added to the end of your season. Just let us know in advance.
Can I customize the share percentages? +
The CSA percentages (50% meat, 30% vegetables, 20% eggs & special items) are a general guideline, not a rigid formula. Some weeks your share will be well over the average value, and some weeks a little less — it all balances out over the course of the season.
How much meat is in a weekly share? +
We aim for at least two types of meat per week. About $54 of each share's value goes toward pasture-raised meats including chicken, beef, and pork. The exact cuts and quantities vary week to week.
Do you offer a vegetarian CSA option? +
We have offered a vegetarian option in the past. Contact us to ask about availability for the current season.
Can I buy meat and produce without joining the CSA? +
Most of our meat and produce goes to CSA members, but we usually have some items available. Eggs are available 24/7 at our eggmobile. Outside of CSA season, contact us to see what's available.
Do you offer delivery? +
We offer home delivery for an additional $10 per week, subject to availability. Delivery availability is confirmed by April 10 each year. Otherwise, pickup is on Thursdays.
Can I buy a quarter or half cow? +
No, we don't currently sell beef in bulk quantities. Our meats are raised for and distributed through our CSA shares.
